I really think Obama is going to end up as being the most famous president of all time, even more so than F.D.R, Kennedy, or Lincoln.
I hear so much talk from people about "the first black president" blah blah; yeah, it's true he's the first black president, and that really gives him a lot of momentum, but the only thing that matters in the long run will be his ability to influence our country. And I have a good feeling we're all finally going to see some REAL change.
Seriously, look what the guy's done in just 2 days! Not only has he already signed to have Guantanamo shut down in a year, but he's also already frozen White House employee salaries in a respectful nod to the economic crisis, discussed very openly a newer concept of open source, and sided with his administration to bring back the Freedom of Information Act. He's keeping all of his promises and taking action immediately rather than just taking a break.
In other news, we've discovered that Bush's NSA has been watching us for the past 8 years without us knowing about it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that a VERY serious crime?
